Six Minute Mom Makeup Routine

Six Minute Mom Makeup Routine

I have done a LOT of reconfiguring of my makeup routines over the years. I was a 90s baby and an early 2000s teen, so you best believe I was all about the Maybelline Matte Mousse for quite awhile (can you say, hello blocked pores?! I think it’s still coming out, tbh). I have done tons of research and experimenting to adjust to my sensitive skin. I’ve done my best to always have my makeup done before walking into work or rehearsals, even if that means adjusting application times. I can honestly say though, that my makeup has had to be adjusted the very most since becoming a mom.

Between hormones changing and quite simply, my time being constrained, I have had to actually work to condense by skincare and makeup routines into very specific time intervals. Over the last couple of years, this has brought me to creating four, very specific cosmetic routines for certain days and timelines: the Four, Six, Eight, and 10 minute makeup routines! Each serves a specific purpose and really cuts down on my vanity time, especially with kids running around me. Today’s post and video link are going to be all about the Six Minute Makeup Routine, the most commonly used one in my arsenal.

The products I use have been included in the feature image. These are

FACE: Thrive Buildable Blur Primer ($36), Thrive SPF CC Cream ($38), ELF concealer ($6), Thrive Pressed Powder ($35), and ELF pressed blush ($7)

EYES: Thrive Liquid Lash Extensions mascara ($26), Wet n Wild eyeshadow stick ($3), Thrive Brilliant Eye Brightener ($26)

BROWS: Wet n Wild Retractable Brow Pen ($3), Thrive eyebrow gel ($24)

LIPS: NYX Butter Gloss ($6)

Additionally, I used a beauty blender for the liquid foundation and concealer, an eyelash curler, and a blush brush.

Simple as that! I can typically apply these products in under six minutes, saving me valuable time and allowing me more opportunities to make memories with my family. I am linking the YT video below for the application details.

I also want to include some links to the products used, just in case you’re interested.
